Terms and Conditions & Cancellation Policy

1. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

All our cakes and desserts are bespoke, handmade, and made-to-order specifically for you. By placing an order, you acknowledge that these products are manufactured to your individual specifications and are perishable in nature.

2. Production Time

Please note that all orders require a minimum of 2 (two) working days for preparation and production before they are ready for collection. This ensures that every item is fresh and crafted to our highest standards.

3. Collection (Pick-up)

Collection is available exclusively from the following location: 21 Sussex Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 4DZ

Once your order is placed, we will notify you via email within 2 working days to confirm your collection window and provide any necessary instructions regarding your pick-up.

4. Cancellation Policy

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory 14-day “cooling-off” period does not apply to:

  • Perishable goods: Items liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

  • Bespoke goods: Items made to the consumer’s specific requirements.

As our products are both perishable and custom-made:

  • Once production has commenced (typically 48 hours before your scheduled collection), we cannot accept cancellations, and no refund will be issued.

  • Cancellation requests made before production starts will be considered at our sole discretion and may be subject to a processing fee.

5. Storage and Shelf Life

To maintain the quality of your cake, please follow these storage guidelines:

  • Storage: Keep the cake refrigerated, ideally in its original box.

  • Serving: Allow the cake to come up to room temperature before serving for the best flavour and texture.

  • Shelf Life: * Cakes with fresh cream fillings: up to 6 days.

    • Cakes with buttercream: up to 10 days.

6. Transport and Handling

  • Transport: When transporting by car, the cake must remain level. We strictly recommend placing the box in the boot or the footwell. Do not place the cake on a car seat.

  • Handling: Always hold the cake box from the underneath (the base). Do not press against the sides of the box, as this will damage the decoration and structure.

  • Liability: We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake once it has left our premises.

7. Quality and Returns

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns. If there is an issue with your order (e.g., it does not match your specifications), please contact us within 24 hours of collection with photographic evidence.

8. Allergens

Our kitchen handles various allergens, including nuts, gluten, and dairy. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any severe allergies before ordering. A full list of ingredients is available upon request.
